The used book store at the Beltsville public library is always neat and tidy. I appreciate that. It does mean the collection is rather hit-or-miss, depending on your interest, as the volunteer staff sorts through the piles in the back storage room. If you need a vacation book that you can leave at a hotel, then this is the book store for you. There is certainly the occasional collectible, though.
We visited the library today and I stopped in at the store. There is a copy of the "Fix It and Forget It Cookbook" on sale for $1 and it is in very good condition. I have a copy of that book; I bought it new from Costco in 2001 for about $10. The price printed on the book is $16.95. It's a handy reference for crock-pot cooking. I often neglect my cookbooks in favor of searching for recipes on the Internet, but I still reach for Fix it and Forget It often. I just took a quick look at the price of the book on Amazon.com and used copies seem to be selling for about $5.
